How does Bobby matching work?

Bobby matches pets based on species, size, age, energy level, and personality traits. Our algorithm finds compatible companions nearby so playdates are more likely to go well. You can also filter by distance to keep it truly local.

Why am I not seeing any matches?

A few things to check: make sure your pet profile is complete with photos and personality traits, enable location access so we can find pets near you, and try widening your distance filter. New users may see fewer candidates while we grow the local community in your area.

Can I add more than one pet?

Yes! You can add multiple pets to your profile. Each pet gets its own profile card with photos, personality traits, and bio. Matches are made per pet, so each furry family member can find their own best friend.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile then Settings then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, all pet profiles, matches, messages, and community posts. The action cannot be undone.

Is my information safe?

We take privacy seriously. Your exact location is never shared with other users — only approximate distance is shown. Your email is verified and never visible to others. You control who can see your profile and can block or report anyone at any time.

How do I report a user or content?

Tap the three-dot menu on any profile card or post and select Report. Choose the reason and submit — our team reviews every report. You can also block a user directly from their profile, which immediately removes them from your matches and feed.

Why do I need to verify my email?

Email verification keeps the community safe and reduces fake accounts. You will need to verify before posting in the Community or sending messages. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a verification link from noreply@bobbypets.app.

Question 8

The app asked for location access. Is that required?

Accepted Answer

Location access is needed to show you pets nearby. If you deny it, you will see the Discover screen but will not get local matches. You can update this in your phone Settings, then Bobby, then Location. We only use foreground location — never background.
