Bobby started with a simple frustration: finding a safe, compatible playmate for your dog or cat shouldn't be hard. So we built the app we wished existed.
What is Bobby?
Bobby is a mobile app for iOS and Android that helps pet owners find nearby, compatible playmates for their dogs and cats. It matches pets by species, size, age, energy level, and personality, keeps each pet's exact location private (showing only approximate distance), and includes safe in-app messaging and a local pet-owner community for arranging playdates. Bobby is free to download.

Our Story
Bobby launched in Toronto in 2025. The idea was straightforward — dogs and cats are social animals, and their owners often struggle to find compatible playmates in their area. Dog parks are great, but showing up and hoping for the best is hit-or-miss.
We built Bobby to take the guesswork out of it. By matching on species, size, energy level, and personality, we help owners find pets their furry family member will actually get along with — then make it easy to connect, chat, and arrange a meetup.
We're a small, independent team. No venture capital, no growth-at-all-costs mentality. Just a genuine belief that stronger pet communities make for happier pets and happier people.
